Shobha Marwah
“I was psychologically devastated when I lost my child in 2009 - a loss that rendered me an emotional wreck. I desperately wanted something that could ease out my pain. Yoga came to me as Divine’s intervention.” Shobha Marwah reveals the turning point of her life.
The electronics engineer-turned house-maker-turned Yoga teacher, Shobha joined Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre post the sad incident. She believes that the first gift she got from yoga practice was emotional strength and positivity to cope up with her state of mind. Practicing as a student she was so inspired and fascinated by the divine auras of her teachers that she decided to become one herself. Enrolling in and completing her Teachers Training Course at Sivananda Kutir, Netala (Uttarkashi) in 2015, got her an opportunity to volunteer as a teacher for a few years with the same organisation at one of its centres in Delhi.
Adept in creating powerful teaching plans that aim to be inclusive irrespective of the level of students, she teaches classes of various genres for Yoga Vedanta. Her special field of interest is dynamic sequences for strength and stamina, loved by the fat-loss practitioners.
Her motivation to keep treading this beautiful path of Yoga is the joy, positivity and energy felt and shared by the students.
