Yoga for PCOS

Often, the first signs of PCOS appear in the late teens or early twenties. It’s characterised by imbalances in testosterone, insulin and the typical fight or flight response triggered by cortisol levels.

The present threat is it being the most obvious cause for female infertility and future threats include Heart disease and Type 2 diabetes.

Practising yoga regularly has shown proven lower levels of testosterone levels, anxiety and depression after a few months of consistent practice. It helps with keeping cortisol levels in place and helping with mood swings and better sleep patterns. Regular mindful yoga practice along with Pranayama is an effective therapeutic option to effectively tuning into your body and balancing those hormones.
