Manvir Rawat

“Born and brought up in Uttarkashi, I have always had Himalayas in my genes. I rarely miss a chance of climbing.” recounts Manveer. This passion had him join Nehru Institute of Mountaineering (NIM) where he completed his Basic and Advance Mountaineering Courses to become a professional mountaineer.

He soon realised that during mountain climbing, he faced difficulty due to his underlying condition of asthma. This condition turned him towards yoga. His recovery, amazingly was natural and quick. The therapeutic effectiveness of yoga influenced him extremely and played a pivotal role in his decision of pursuing a career in Yoga. He completed the Teachers Training Course in 2017 at ISYVC’s India HQ in Kerala, which he followed with a teaching stint at SYV Centres. Fascinated by the yogic teachings, he further went on to complete his Masters in Yoga.

Yoga Vedanta inducted him in its team in 2021 where he continues sharing his knowledge through teaching Advance Hatha Yoga, Kids and Gentle Yoga.

A passionate follower of the ancient religious and spiritual books, he loves to share a story or two from these texts whenever he can, to explain some interesting yogic concepts.
