How do I decide which yoga class is for me? +
If you are new to the path of yoga and need an introduction to the basic asanas and pranayama techniques, then you must join the Beginners Course. A Beginners’ course also helps those who haven’t practiced in a while and need a refresher.
If you have done a Beginners Course or equivalent, then you could directly join the Open Practice Sessions which is a 75-minute daily practice that helps you lead healthier lifestyle, holistically.
If you prefer a restorative practice with milder techniques, then Gentle Yoga is for you. These classes are slow-paced and non-strenuous.
Are there any criteria to practice with Yoga Vedanta? +
The uninitiated are advised to start with the Beginners Course. People who suffer from any sort of ailments or concerns, which restrict their practice, should make their teacher aware of the same at the start of the class. Other than that, come with an open, accepting and positive mind space, that’s all you need.

What is the minimum strength required to start a Beginners’ batch? And what is the maximum capacity of the Beginners’ Batch? +
A minimum of 8 participants are required to start a beginners’ batch and a maximum of 12 participants are allowed in a batch on first come first serve basis, after which depending on the number of people registered, YV could choose to start another batch in the same week or the following week.
What are my options if a batch is cancelled/postponed? +
You have the following options -
- You could wait for the next batch to start, which is normally a week later - you will get priority over the new registrations.
- You could choose to join another batch in the same day - for example, if you have chosen the morning slot and if that is being postponed or is running full-capacity, you could join the evening batch, depending on the availability.
- If you aren’t happy with either of the solutions offered above, then we will refund your money back. You are welcome to join, at any later date as per your convenience.
