Why Yoga teaching is different

While climbing a peak, even an expert mountaineer needs a guide who leads him through gorges, precipices and the treacherous mountainous terrains to reach the summit. The guide is a person who regularly treads the path and through experience, knows exactly how to navigate the mountaineer to the top. A true Yoga teacher is like that guide. Teaching Yoga is experiential … very unlike teaching academics. A Yoga teacher through regular personal practice, experiences conscious movement of Prana and the subtle physical & psychic changes happening within. While sharing this experiential knowledge, a Pranic connection between the teacher and the student is naturally established. This is how a Yoga teacher trains the students to go through the yogic processes and reach their goals.

All Yoga Vedanta teachers, also embarked on their yogic journey as initiates or neophytes. Through dedicated personal practice under guidance of their teachers in the lineage, they have evolved to the level that their students witness today. Yoga is a personal journey that requires focus, dedication, and the guidance of an experienced, evolved teacher who can make the path smooth and effortless for an aspirant.

To reach your goals …be it physical, mental, spiritual or all of these, just stay focused.
